Prior to joining Verasys (now Andrews International), Owens held the positions of President and Chief Operating Officer for IPSA International, a leading risk consulting firm, where he handled all of IPSA’s domestic and international operations including investigations, consulting and protective services. Prior to his retirement from International Business Machines (IBM), Mr. Owens was Director of Security, Worldwide Sales and Services. Throughout his career with IBM, he held various positions such as: Director of Security for IBM United States; Director of Security for IBM, Europe/Middle East/Africa, headquartered in Paris; and Director of Security for IBM's Americas/Far East operations. He also spent many years in the criminal investigations arena, including Executive Director of the Atlanta Crime Commission, Special Agent in Charge (SAC) and Bureau Chief, Florida Department of Law Enforcement, and Police Officer, Oakland Police Department, Oakland, California.
