Jim WoodCo-President and Chief Operating OfficerJim Wood joined Andrews International in April 2006 upon its merger with Copstat LLC. Previously president of Copstat LLC for 14 years, Jim Wood is co-president and chief operating officer of Andrews International, with responsibility for East Coast operations. Jim is responsible for the overall financial health and daily operations of the East Coast's full spectrum of services: armed/unarmed security services for a wide range of clients, including patrol services, executive protection, security services for motion picture & television productions, as well as consulting and investigative services, surveillance system assessment and explosive detection canine units. Headquartered in New York City, Jim oversees more than 1500 employees managed by our five East Coast operation centers throughout the greater New York metropolitan area, New Jersey, Illinois, Connecticut, and Florida. Jim came to the private sector after 23 years with the New York Police Department - the last seven of which he was assigned, as a lieutenant, to the Organized Crime Control Bureau and the prestigious New York Drug Enforcement Administration Task Force. His duties with the NYPD included supervision of multi-agency personnel involving global investigations into narcotics trafficking in the New York metropolitan area. Jim is a graduate of the New York Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in Behavioral Sciences.
