High-Tech Security Executive Hired to Lead Andrews' Expanding Northern California Operations

Andrews International continues to build expertise and growth with hire of Galvez.

Los Angeles, CA (October 13, 2008) – Andrews International, a full service provider of security and risk mitigation services, has hired Carlos Galvez, CPP, as Vice President, Northern California Region, with oversight of business development and operations in Northern California, including offices in Santa Clara and San Francisco. Based in the Andrews International Silicon Valley office in Santa Clara, Galvez will report directly to Ty Richmond, Co-President and Chief Operating Officer of Andrews International.

Galvez most recently served as regional operations manager for Juniper Networks corporate security and safety department. As such, he was responsible for the overall management of security and safety processes, resources and program implementation at Juniper's headquarters, and the Asia Pacific and Latin America regions. In addition, Galvez led the creation and implementation of Juniper's Protection Programs for special events, executive protection and travel, and contributed to Juniper's information protection and supply chain security programs. Galvez also has contract security experience prior to his corporate role at Juniper. He previously served in management positions at several leading high-tech companies, including Adobe Systems and Infineon Technologies.

Galvez earned his Certified Protection Professional (CPP) designation from ASIS International in 2006 and is certified in emergency management and anti- terrorism. He is active in the San Francisco Bay Area ASIS International Chapter and the Santa Clara Valley Red Cross Chapter.
